 Temporary/Part-time Truck Drivers

Chartiers Township is seeking part-time, temporary Truck Drivers for the public works department for a period not to exceed 99 days.   This part-time work is primarily to assist with snow removal and may include late night and weekend call outs.  There is no weekly hourly guarantee, as call outs are weather dependent.  Duties range over a wide variety of municipal activities.  The position pays $15.00 per hour, with a 3 hour minimum call out.

Qualifications include experience in truck driving and/or snow plowing experience, general labor operations, semi-skilled maintenance or construction tasks, mechanic skills a plus.  In order to be considered eligible, you must possess, maintain, and show proof of a validated PA Commercial Driver’s License at the time of application; be capable of performing essential job functions; and, if offered the position, submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Parks and Recreation Progamming and Rental Coordinator

Chartiers Township is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Programming and Rental Coordinator in our Parks and Recreation Department. This is a part-time, non-exempt, at-will position within the Parks and Recreation Department. This employee will be primarily responsible for assisting the Parks and Recreation Director with facilitating the functions at Chartiers Township Community Center including, but not limited to building rental, programming and coordination. It is anticipate to be between 10-20 hours per week, but actual schedule and hours will fluctuate based on the facility schedule.  Evening and weekend hours are a must. Chartiers Township is seeking Requests for Proposals/Qualifications (“RFP”s) for the following professional services:

  • Legal:  Township Solicitor;
  • Engineering: Township Engineer; and
  • Financial: Banking Services.

Each of the above referenced RFPs is available at the Township office, 2 Buccaneer Drive, Houston, PA 15342 or www.chartierstwp.com.  The deadline for submission for each of the services being sought is 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Boards and Commissions

Chartiers Township is now seeking residents willing to serve on the following volunteer Boards and Commissions:

Transportation Impact Fee Advisory Committee, seven (7) members:

      At least three (3) members of this seven (7) member Committee must be from the real estate, residential and commercial development and building industries.  Members of the Committee may be residents or business people within the Township.
